Enjoy Thanksgiving Weekend Activities at the Beach

There are several fun family events scheduled at our beaches for Thanksgiving Day and the following weekend.

On Thanksgiving Day, join in a Turkey Trot/fun walk on Sunset Beach.  This is an informal gathering that will including both guests and homeowners on the island.  There won't be any formal race times or course management-it's just a chance to get out and work up some appetite for later!  To join in, gather at 6th and Canal Drive just before 10am that day.

On Saturday the 23rd, the events are called Super Saturday on Ocean Isle Beach.  Highlights include a holiday parade that starts at the Museum of Coastal Carolina at 2 pm that day, with the route going down 2nd Street and back up 1st Street.  Come see all of the floats-Santa usually makes time for a quick stop in as well!  At 7 pm, the 9th Holiday Boat Flotilla starts at Shallotte River and heads down the ICW to the finish line at Sharky's Restaurant.  You can catch all of the boats at Sharky's, or catch them earlier at the Ferry Landing park at the far east end of Ocean Isle Beach.

Thanksgiving is a quite time for families at the beach-if you'll be in the area, we hope you enjoy a great holiday!
