Ocean Isle Beach Founder Passes

Odell Williamson passed away on Saturday, October 2nd at age 90.
Mr. Williamson and his family were the original developers of Ocean Isle Beach. He served as the Town's first mayor (and both his wife and daughter followed him in later years). Through the years his generosity has lead to various community features such as Brunswick Community College, The Coastal Carolina Museum, and much more. The bridge over the waterway connecting the mainland and island is named for him.
