Ocean Isle Beach Welcomes New Habitat ReStore Location

The Ocean Isle Beach community welcomed the opening of the Brunswick County chapter of Habitat for Humanity's new ReStore One at a ribbon cutting earlier this month. The new location is at 6560 Beach Drive, about two miles closer to Ocean Isle Beach than the previous location.

The store accepts donations of furniture, construction materials, and other household items that it then resells to the public. The funds from the two County stores contributed the full construction costs of four new homes in Brunswick County during 2012, according to the staff at the ribbon-cutting.

Deanna Antonio, Executive Director for the Chapter, and Jim Rewalt, President of the Chapter's Board of Directors, lead the introductions during the ribbon cutting. The Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce had members in attendance.

Ron and Adrienne Watts, owners of Sunset Properties, have a long relationship with the local Habitat Board, and helped to launch the initial ReStore One location. Ron was excited to attend this event to see how far the operation has grown through the years. It should help fuel the continued growth of the local chapter's wonderful works through the future.

Congratulations to all that participated in the planning, funding, and construction of this store!
