Turtle Time at Ocean Isle Beach
Posted On Friday, July 27, 2012
One of the fun family activities to participate in when you visit Ocean Isle Beach is to learn about the sea turtles that visit our island.
The Ocean Isle Beach Turtle Patrol provides a free presentation each Tuesday evening at 7 pm during the summer at the OIB Community Center located at 44 E 1st Street. You and your family can learn all about the turtles at this event, and you might even find if there is a nest scheduled to hatch during your visit!
As of the end of August, there are 20 confirmed nests on the island, with the 6th one hatching just this week!
