JUST GET HERE IF YOU CAN

While walking the beach this morning I thought of my OIB friends who are back home in NY, NJ, PA, MD, DC, VA, OH and WI - all suffering this winter storm and I expect, thinking warm thoughts of Ocean Isle Beach.
Then corny as it is, and I think your allowed corny when you have the beach to yourself- I thought of the JT song (not Justin Timberlake- the original, James Taylor) - Get Here. - You know it ... you can reach me by railway, you can reach me by airplane, by car, by sail boat- I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can.
So - get here. We have MLK day this coming Monday, so plan Friday off and make it a long weekend at the beach. While it's not 80%, it is clear and beautiful. As any island homeowner will tell you- off season is their favorite time at the beach. It's serene. Quiet enough for a thirty year song to be remembered.
